Fraud Analyst, Leeds
One of the largest financial
services firms in the UK, is looking for an experienced
analyst, with first class predictive modelling skills,
to be based within their fraud department
You
will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation
of analytics and models to support the banking arena
and the various fraud reduction activities which my
client undertakes.
The
main focus of the role, will be to d evelop first-class
quantitative techniques in fraud prevention (data collection,
data mining, synthesis and analysis, modelling, etc.),
taking ownership for the model development. Alongside
this, you will help develop quantitative fraud prevention
techniques
The
ideal candidate will be highly numerate, with a degree
in mathematics, statistics or related subject, or with
some deep industry/research experience. It’s essential
you will be experienced in the development, application
and implementation of powerful predictive modelling
techniques (e.g., Bayesian techniques, neural networks,
decision trees, support vector machines, etc.) in an
industry where statistical prediction is of strategic
importance
Experience
in a stats package such as SAS or SPSS, and proficiency
in UNIX and a high level scripting language also desired
